Interesting Thought! HMMMMM.....

So I just saw this on another friends blog and busted up laughing.  I am completely 100% all about breastfeeding, if able, but this is something I am not to sure about!  You HAVE to read this! http://www.wptz.com/news/17539127/detail.html
You'll understand what I am talking about when you read the article!  Tell me your feelings.  I'd be really interested to see what other people think.

That is gross, and wrong. Period.

Hahaha!! I agree...gross and wrong.

And PETA really needs to do more research. Cows are impregnated every nine months, huh? Where'd they pull that number from? Not to mention the fact that they ignored the fact that the health problems we face as humans such as childhood diabetes, allergies and obesity are more often linked to the use of formula (although it is made from cow's milk) than to cow's milk in general. And the last part about veal...oh, the humanity! Hmm, seems they just threw that in to make people upset.

All I have to say is, thank goodness Ben and Jerry's kindly told PETA that they are crazy! or else I'd have to find a new carton of little ice cream to eat.

p.s. I'm completely FOR breastfeeding as well and proud to say my baby has NEVER even had a taste of formula! :) Thanks for sharing; I needed a good laugh.

So are they planning to have farms full of nursing mothers to produce enough milk to supply the nation with the calcium they need? Is it really better that we get milked than a cow? PETA drives me crazy and this just confirms that they are all crazy.

That's pretty sickening! I don't think that grown up men and women can benefit that much from breastmilk anyways. It is meant for the developing baby!!

Haha, I wonder just out of curiosity how much they'd pay nursing mothers to give their milk for ice cream!!!!!!

I'm going to link to that on my blog too...hope you don't mind?

I do not agree with PETA, yes "breast is best" for our babies but not for human adult consumption. That's just my opinion.

Okay. I didn't even read the whole article...sick! My sister works as an RN in the NICU. It was one of her first shifts & she was still orienting. They had two babies to feed at the same time. She accidentally fed one baby the wrong mother's milk. They had to file an incident report (you have to file them when you make a BIG mistake like the wrong medication or wrong dosage or the patient falls while getting them up to the bathroom, etc). It's that big of a deal! How do they plan to do screening? Some medications & diseases can be passed through breast milk. I don't want to drink somebody else' milk who I have no idea what their hygiene & personal habbits are!
I'm completely an advocate of breastfeeding, but our moms weaned us for a reason! :)
