Wedding Cake

This post is mainly for my mom!  This is the wedding cake that I just made for a friend.  A few hours and a couple of panic attacks later here is the end result.

The Water Park

Here are the pics from the local free water park.  Robb has every other Friday off so we thought we would give it a try.  I look like a dork in the pics, but the kids are cute(if I do say so myself).

After the pain. . . kind of funny!

So i don't have any cute picture or video to go with this entry, but thought this was funny!  So awhile ago I tripped over a baby gate.  Surprise, surprise . . . i know that A. i tripped and B. we have a baby gate in our house . . . but this time I hurt myself.  I landed on my wrist and had immediate bruising.  But I just figured I had sprained something.  Well awhile (like two months later) I was still having pain and a bump where there shouldn't be a bump that never went away.  But a couple of days ago, being the graceful person that I am (hence the name Grace that my aunt calls me often, as well as many other nicknames that I won't reveal on this blog) I fell down the stairs and landed on the same wrist.  I immediately heard a POP!  After a couple brief moments of pain, it was all gone!!  The pain and the bump!  HOORAY!!!  Who needs a doctor when you can fix it on your own?  J/K!  I know I should have seen a doctor sooner, but now I don't have to!

Our Field Trip

We just went on a field trip to KNDU, the NBC news station serving the Tri-Cities and Yakima!  It was really fun to meet all the people that I watch at 5 am when I am up feeding Carson.  The girls got to sit up at the news desk and got to a weather forecast on the green screen.
Future newscasters!
This is the girls doing the weather on the green screen!  Sorry it's so dark!
This is the morning weather man showing us how to use the green screen and talking about the weather
This is the news room!
Something new that I learned . . . I am always curious what the UV index really means.  Since moving here everyone on the news makes a big deal about the UV index.  Well lately the UV index here is an 8 which means in 20 mins if you have fair skin you will be sun burned.  In July and August, in this area, he said it is usually a 10 or 11 which is the highest . . .  which means in 5 mins. you will be burned.  Crazy!!!

Our latest project!

So we finally finished our front yard. . . well for now!
This is what it was like before, just rocks and weeds.
This is midway!  We pulled out all the rocks and weeds and put in bushes and a tree!
This is the end result!  Sorry they are dark it was sunset when we finally finished!  A couple minor injuries and a couple of sunburns later and we finished!

New Page!

David Archuleta - Be Still My Soul

Thought this was pretty neat! David sang this at a fireside for troubled youth!

The Army Crawl!

Here is Carson and his "crawl".  I have seen him take a few normal crawls, but it is much to slow for him.  This is what he prefers!

What I should be when I grow up!!

You Should Be a Politician
Confident, assertive, and dedicated - you know what you want in life and how to get it.
Stubborn and opinionated, you can stand your ground... even if it's unpopular.
And while you have strong views, you never overwhelm people with your opinions.
A true charmer, you subtly influence people into seeing things your way.

You do best when you:

- Work according to your own rules
- Can change the world with what you do

You would also be a good lawyer or talk show host.

First Article of faith

I have to remind myself that she is only two!  I am so proud of Emma!  You are amazing!

Awesome!

For anyone who has kids that are LDS and are getting ready to read this book is awesome!  It is for ages 2-6 and basically teaches you how to teach your kids during their best learning ages when everything is more easily learned!  The program is all laid out for you and is super easy!  Too cool!

Surprise!

For Robb's birthday the kids and I went and decorated his scooter at work.  It was so windy, but the kids had fun anyway!

You can see by the girls hair how windy it was!
Here we are hiding, waiting for Robb to come out of work!
Here we are being sneaky coming up behind Robb! SHHHHH!!!!! HEHEHEHE!  These are the noises of the girls!
Happy Birthday, Daddy!  You will notice Robb is wearing a pink shirt!  This is a joke gift from the people he works with!  A few days ago he was supposed to wear a pink shirt as a type of fundraiser and all he had was his pink tyedyed farmer reunion shirt, so he wore that under a white button up shirt.   So they all pitched in a gave him a pink shirt and then decorated his helmet with pink bows and put pink bicycle streamers into his scooter handle bars!  I wish I had pics of that!!!

The New Grill

Robb's birthday was on Monday so I bought him a bbq as a combo birthday fathers day gift!  We had steaks and grilled corn on the cob!! So good!

I've been taged!

This tag, given to me by my sister-in-law Rebecca, is supposed to show real life . . . I guess!  So here it is!
This is my fridge.  Evidence that I really do have children!
This is the messy inside of my fridge and freezer!  I am so embarrassed!
Here is the kitchen sink!  You could say this tag includes everything but the kitchen sink, but i guess you can't because here it is!
This is the laundry room!  This is one of my least favorite rooms in the house.  The only thing that makes it not a prozac needing room waiting to happen, is the window that let's you look out to more hopeful activities!
Here is one of our three toilets!  This is in the master bath.  The garbage can is on top of the toilet, because Carson is obsessed with toilets right now and he also likes to get into the garbage!

Right now the girls are playing nicely in their room and Carson is taking his morning nap.  It will probably only last another five seconds so I have to make this quick!  And yes, Hailey is in a supergirl outfit.  This would be day two of her wearing it, including our trip to Lowes, but I figure you choose your battles and this is one I don't feel like fighting!
My favorite room(s) in the house is the family room and our bedroom.  I love the family room because it is so much warmer than our living room and it is where we spend most of our time.  Our bedroom is on the top of my list because I love slipping into our 550-thread count sheets at the end of a crazy day and watching a super girly movie on the big screen t.v.  I know my dad would be disappointed that that is what I am watching on the big screen, but falling asleep to a girl movie is a little easier than any action flick!

Sorry there are so many pics of our closet, but it's in an L shape so it's the only way to get the whole "picture" :)

Now I am supposed to have a picture of my favorite pair of shoes and my dream Vacation, but I don't!  Sorry!  My favorite pair of shoes are my grubby tennis shoes.  I wear them everywhere!  I know that on What Not to Wear I am committing a serious fashion crisis, but I don't care.  When I am with the kids and need to run with them it is so much easier in a pair of sneakers vs. a pair of fancy high heels.
As for my dream vacation. . . well with my family it would have to be Disneyland!  I would love to see my kids faces light up when they get to see everything up close for the first time. If I were to go with just my husband I would probably want to go to Italy!  It seems incredibly romantic!
I think this goes on record as the longest blog ever!
I tag The Smiths, The Kirkhams, and The Larsons!  Good Luck!

Scooter Fun!

So for Robb's and my birthday my parents gave us their old scooters!  So much fun!  Hailey and Emma wanted to go for a ride.  I thought for sure Hailey would freak out as soon as we got moving, but as soon as we got going she started yelling "YOHOOOO!!!!"  They both loved it!   We didn't go too fast, for those grandparents that might be concerned, and we just went around the block. :)  Here are some pics of our adventure!

Our little girl is growing up!

Hailey had her preschool graduation today!  I can't believe it!  She was so excited to graduate and can't wait to do kindergarten homeschool.  As soon as we got in the car after graduation she asked can we do homeschool tomorrow.  Too cute!  Hailey, we love  you and are so proud of you and can't believe how smart you are.  You are amazing!!!
