New Names
I am thinking of giving everyone in our family different blog names. I don't want to go private, but want to keep my family safe. So in an effort to do this I thought I could give them cute substitute names for this blog. I was kind of thinking of things like pork chop or hot dog . . . on the lines of pig meat :) to go along with our last name. Any suggestions?

Snout
Hammy
Oinkers
Petunia
Porkie
Babe
Then again I think it might be easier to maintain if you were to use some sort of nickname you already use in real life, or something you could adopt in real life. Cause if you're calling them something online chances are it's going to slip out or cross over at some point... probably when you go to yell at them in the grocery store not to knock down those oranges. ;)
Oh, or just use initials.
cute idea, and there are so many yummy options. Bacon, pepperoni, sausage, incidentally all my favorite pizza toppings, along with ham of couse.
I agree with Lisa. Her name choices are great. But mostly I have to agree with her thought on the blog names crossing over into real life. The other day I day I was at a friends home and kept calling her son Big Red (his blog name). As a matter of fact, it took some doing to bring to mind his real name. Moral of the story - like the knights templar said in raiders "choose wisely" or was it "he chose poorly". What ev!!
Here's another thought. How about Diva, Diva's Sidekick, and Hop Along. I think they suit them. If it isn't obvious why, then they probably aren't good choices. But they sure beat Boog, Bug, and Bud. Don't you agree Boog, or were you Bug. No. I'm pretty sure you were Boog. Sorry, I'm having a senior moment.
I agree with your mom and I can't wait for you to explain to him when he asks, "Mom, why is my name Hop Along?" That could be a really fun conversation. Good luck with your decision. See you next week!
I was thinking Honey, Piggy and Porkchop.
The Bacon Wrap-up
Bacon Bitz
Sausage Shout-out
I thought those were kinda cute.. I love Bacon Bitz.. I think that's a good one!
I'm doing the same thing in an effort to be more discrete. Ham names are awesome for your family.
I can't decide, after reading all the comments, if I am hungry or about to throw up! Sounds like a lot of people hamming it up for you, if you know what I mean. I do like the "Diva" post ideas. Might be easier to look at the personalities of those you are posting about and finding a name. That way some of your close friends and family will know who you are speaking of and being able to laugh because the names fit so well. ( And are too true!)
I think it is a good idea, but a little sad that we have to code name our children. Do you think it's too late to do that with Stuart? ;o) I think the secret's out on him already.
Good luck with the names!! I think your mom's name should be Queen of the Squirrels. Remember the old lady in Mary Poppins with the pigeons? I hear she's like that with squirrels. Laura would die!
Sorry to comment again but I thought snout was hilarious and Petunia, Porkie, and Babe were adorable.
THHHAT'S ALL FOLKS!!!
I had to go back after I started my blog and re-name my kids too. It's a small world out there now a days!
enjoying your blog, it's very pretty!
