Just wondering if anyone has any ideas! For those of you that know my husband he is an amazing man whom I love dearly, but enough is enough! He has a serious problem. He has these sleep episodes. In the course of our six year marriage I have been thrown out of bed, punched, talked to in a Harry Potter accent, found pieces of furniture in different places than they were the day before, found pillows by the front door, the list goes on. Well last night was another one of those nights. He kept trying to leave somewhere and then get mad at me when he couldn't go. Then he came and sat on the edge of the bed right next to me and insisted that is was his side of the bed. There were many other things that happened, but I will spare you the details. All I can say is that I'm TIRED!!! I have tried to get him to go to a sleep clinic, but he never seems to make it there. I have thought of bringing a club to bed, but I really do love the guy and don't really want to hurt him, but common! Enough is Enough! Just wondering if anyone has any similar experiences and/or suggestions! Most of the time it's pretty funny, but other times it's like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde! What to do? What to do?

What to do? :)

Um...no. But that actually sounds pretty darn serious and I would definitely get it checked out. Make the appointment and take him on a secret date...right to the sleep clinic. (if he won't go himself! :)
Don't envy you right now!!
I'm sorry, but the way you said everything was just really funny! You had me laughing. But wow, that is interesting though, sorry I have no advice. Scott says some interesting things every now and then but nothing like that. Hope you can figure it out!
(Mary) Heather - I can't stop laughing . . . I love Robb. I am just sad that I never get to see him at his "worst". I love you too though - so I think you should make him talk to a professional.
Every now and then Jeff snores lightly - and if i give him a gentle shove he will quit. Since Robb's sleep issues are much more extreme it may call for more extreme measures - maybe the club isn't such a bad idea . . .alright, maybe not.
If there's one person who should have an answer for Robb's sleep antics, it's me... having shared a room with the lug for 16 years or so. I will admit, it is scary to wake-up to someone doing karate moves on you. Even though we didn't share a bed, I certainly had to fend for myself on more than one occasion. I don't really have a tried and true suggestion, but I'm thinking that a spray bottle might work (think The Office) or maybe a small bucket of water might do the trick. But I do recommend telling him about it when he's awake and explaining the dilemma and getting his "consent" (maybe written) before hand. I seriously doubt a sleep clinic would work, but who knows. Just some ideas, but regardless please don't spare us the details and keep these stories coming... I kind of miss them.
I don't know what to tell you. The worst that Ben has ever done is tickled my nose. But even with that he was totally out of it. I decided to write in my journal that it happened so that, on the off chance that he kills me in my sleep the judge will know it was an accident and not an intended murder. You might want to leave a record of that somewhere, too. Your problem sounds much worse than mine!! Good luck with this one!
I don't know what to tell you other than I would MAKE him go! I hope it gets better!
