A Need to Vent
Do you ever look at others blogs and think "WOW, these mom's have got it all together!" I feel this way especially reading other mom's homeschool blogs. For the last week, well since Saturday I have felt down. My kids are driving me crazy, my backyard looks like a war zone (i'll post pics later), I feel like the fatest person on the planet, and I have absolutely NO energy (which is probably why my kids are driving me crazy.) I feel like I give and give all day long and have nothing left right now. I went to the mall today thinking it would help lift my spirits to find something cute to wear and that the kids would enjoy the outing, but they ended up whining the whole time and NOTHING seem to fit right or feel right. So I came home even more down and more tired than I had been before I left. My week has been full of potty training and cleaning up vomit and tending to others needs. Is it selfish to think I want someone to take care of me for a change? That's where I end up thinking I am a horrible mom when reading these other homeschool blogs, because they seem to have it so together. They don't complain and tend to their childrens every need and don't let much bother them (at least that's the way it seems). Just had to say this and now I feel a little better. Please excuse my rantings and ravings.

you let it all out girl! seriously, i was thinking how much YOU had everything together! You are super mom and are so awesome...keep it up!
I literally just breathed a sigh of relief. I'm glad even people like you need to vent sometimes. Because yes, in my book, you are one of those "have it all together" girls.
vent away! You have a right to...besides, I am POSITIVE others are going through the same thing, they just don't say it...
and really, who wants to read about perfection 24/7 anyway!?!??! :)
Oh I LOVE this post. Heather when i think of someone with it "together" I always think of you. I go through spells like this seriously like everyother month. It's good to hear I'm not alone.
I've always thought you were the perfect mommy!!! Last time I went to the store to buy clothes for myself I came home in tears!! Hope you know you are appreciated!! :)
Heather, you do so much AND your pregnant AND your kids have been sick AND you're in the middle of a big overhaul in your backyard, you totally have every right to complain. I used to get SO upset about other people's blogs and how perfect they sounded and would worry about how blunt and complain-y I sound on mine, but than I realized I'm just saying what everyone feels now and then, just not everybody chooses to show it. I think you're amazing! If you ever need anything, please let me know.
Went all you want, I do feel the way you do too and have days like that. That's probably why I don't post too much on my blog and just keep reading other people's blogs.
Dont worry people like to PRETEND they have it all together...they are lairs and no one can be perfect all the time. Every one has their bad days. You are normal. Are you pregnant? Hope that is not too personal, just the way you were talking seems like you are. Feel better soon.
Most people only blog about the good days and the good things. I don't post on my fb page or on my blog that "Yelled at my kids today, lol" or anything like that, for example. You're doing a great job, almost all of the time, just like a lot of parents out there. Also, don't be surprised if others think that way about you :)
you seriously are like the worlds best mom. my family is always talking about how super great you are. even though your patience eventually runs out, know that it lasts way longer than the rest of ours!
I love to hear that you are in the same boat as me. Thanks for venting! :)
Heather, you have every right to feel the way you do. I am pretty sure nobody has it together 100% of the time. I think you are amazing and doing an amazing job as a mother. Hang in there, it will get better! Let me know if your kids want to come play over here for a while and let you have a little break.
It's not true! They are only posting pictures when their house is clean and the kids are dressed and smiling! You have a lot on your plate, girl, and you are handling it all with such grace. Cut yourself some slack! You are amazing!!!
For some reason we love to compare our worst days with our friends "showcased" moments on their blog. Everyone shares their best tip of the iceberg moments, and then we compare our worsts with their best. I'm a homeschool mom too--6 kiddos. There are so many days like this one, but so many AMAZING days too. Thanks for sharing with everyone, and thanks for letting us all realize that everyone is normal!
