The Great Wall

Here are the bricks being delivered . . . I promise Porkchop had pants on earlier!
Here are the ten pallets of bricks. Sadly, we will probably need more!
This is the mountain we call our backyard.
This is the only part I could really help with. Digging the trench and laying gravel. Each one of those bricks weighs 60 lbs. Not the best thing for a pregnant girl to be picking up.
Here are the goats in the field behind us offering moral support.
More pics to come . . . Stay posted!

You guys are so brave! We used to live on that street (well, Massey...on the other side of the park) and had a great, big hill to contend with, too. Instead of making a wall, we just sold our house and moved away. It was a little more spendy, but easier on our backs. :) Our neighbors did their own retaining wall, it looked SOOO nice when it was done. We had sheep that would BAAA at us all day long, miss that view and those sheep. :) Good luck!!

How fun! Ok...probably not fun, but worth it once it's done! :) And...was that an unofficial announcement...?
