Our household never seems to be short on injuries. Here is the latest. Porkchop was jumping on one of the girls beds and fell off. Yes, I know the song "no more monkeys jumping on the bed" is probably running through your head right about now. Anyways, I hear the girls yelling "OH MY HEAVENS" from down the hall followed by, "there's blood all over his face!" So I run in and he's laying on his back with blood all over his mouth and he's starting to choke because there is so much blood. I take him to the bathroom and clean him up and find that he has somehow bitten off a piece of his tongue and then split it down the middle. GROSS!! I am told the mouth heals quickly, I just hope it closes up so we don't have a little snake boy! :) He cut his lower lip too, so he has a bit of a fat lip, but the tongue is the worst part.
Look at that cute face . . .
And his injury . . .

I hope he recovers quickly! What a cute boy.
poor little guy. Hope it heals fast. I think tongues do! Love the chair and head bored you re did. You really did a good job!!
Hey Heather, just saw your blog link on Facebook. Poor guy, it looks awful. Does it hurt him when he eats? Yeesh, that would have had me getting all queasy. Thank goodness for two little girls who never get rowdy enough to hurt themselves, boys might be more than I could handle. ;)
I would think it would heal pretty quickly. It might not seal up all the way but I don't think it'll look snakey ;) He'll probably always have a scar there though. I know people who bit or injured their tongues badly and it does leave a scar. Not quite the same as a normal scar, cause it's tongue not skin, and not as visible but still there.
Good thing thats all that happened and he didn't need to go have a piece stitched back on!
Dr Lisa prescribes lots of popsicles for the poor cutie pie! ;)
Poor little guy. I hope his tongue and lip heal fast.
Poor little guy, I hope it heals fast.
Oh no! Poor little guy and poor Mommy too! The mouth does heal fast since it is so moist. What a cute kid, though! :)
